 climate resilient residential buildings/development-storm/rain/flood

In a group of 8, we analyzed and extracted the important ideas from the theme "climate resilient residential buildings/development-storm/rain/flood."  Our researched topic is Long Term Flood Mitigation Measures in Malaysian Construction Planning. The purpose of the study is to propose methods to increase the residential buildings’ resistance to floods. The objective is to investigate more localised, tailored mitigation measures to be applied in residential buildings in the Malaysian context. The study also intends to strengthen the ability of Malaysia’s residential buildings in combating floods to reduce the loss incurred. The research aims to suggest sustainable approaches for the construction of residential buildings in flood-prone areas in Malaysia.

exploring local architecture or built environment (BE) responses to specific SDG goals and targets

This project is to explore and understand how the BE/Arch is responding to particular Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). Individually, we need to identify an SDG goal of the selected local building and analyse features of the building that have responded to the SDG. The building I studied is Bukit Bintang City Centre [BBCC] and my selected SDG is Goal 11 Sustainable Cities and Communities, in total of 6 targets analysed.
