For people with dementia, it's crucial that the environment is recognizable, mustn't feel challenging or disturbing. Thus, local feel should be spread to the visitor by featuring elements from local building style and provides a kind of cultural extension that alleviates the transition from living at home to spending time with a severe mental illness in the centre.

Dementia is not a specific disease or illness but is rather a general term for the impaired ability to remember, think or make decisions that interferes with doing everyday activities. Being diagnosed with dementia, it requires adaptation and constant learning, often means bearing with a stigma of disability and hopelessness. Because people with dementia cannot freely visit the garden, therefore the garden has to come to them.

diversity of sounds and scent sources modulates various atmosphere throughout the building offers different experiences. There are several spots where people can observe & listen to what's happening from a comfortable distance. Enough spaces for frequent wandering while giving many triggers for relaxation and contemplation.

Each buildings is a small assembly of spaces with different levels of privacy and activities. A ring around the building, passing by the gardening area, and small workshops. People from the neighbourhood are welcome to continue working on their existing garden while passing by the entrance.

The most public functions are located in the centre of this configuration and the further a person goes, the more private the spaces become. Variety of different spaces and activities is enhanced by the roofs. The height of the roof changes accordingly to levels of privacy to reinforce the experience of each spaces.
